Checklist:

Have you made sure that the book has author(s), and not editor(s)? You can check this by looking at the table of contents of the book: If the chapters have different authors, the book will usually have one or more editors. If no author names are given under the different chapters you can assume that the book has one or several authors.

Make sure to distinguish between an edition (ed.) and a print run. If a book’s content has been edited, it’s called an edition (abbreviation: ed.). If a book’s content is exactly the same, and has only been reprinted, it is called a print run. While you don’t need to include the print run in the bibliography, you must include which edition you’re using unless it’s the 1st edition.
